GX3500: FPGA PXI Digital I/O Board
brief introductionGX3500 is a user configurable 3U FPGA PXI board that supports 160 digital I/O signals. The board uses Altera's Cyclone III series FPGA, which supports a clock rate of 150MHz and has 55000 logic units and 2.34Mb of memory. The GX3500 supports extended integration and can be used to customize interfaces with UUT, eliminating the need for bulky and difficult to integrate additional boards into testing systems. FPGA can be designed using Altera's Quartus II free web design tool. Once the user completes the FPGA design, the design files can be loaded into the FPGA through the PXI bus interface or onboard EEROM. |

characteristicSoftware can be used to selectively separate the four sets of 40 digital I/O from the I/O connectors of GX3500. The I/O signal tolerance is 5V. The logic series of I/O interfaces supports LVTTL and LVCMOS. FPGA supports 4 PLL for clock synchronization. The reference clock for FPGA can be either an onboard 80MHz oscillator or a PXI 10MHz clock. FPGA can access all PXI bus resources, including PXI 10MHz clock, local bus, and PXI trigger bus. This feature allows users to create a self-made instrument that combines PXI bus resources. The GX3500 driver can be used to control and access FPGA, which includes tools for downloading edited FPGA code and supports read and write functions for registers. GX3500 can be configured to support TTL LVDS、 Expansion cards with different buffer I/O standards for differential TTL or ECL logic series. In addition, GX3500 can also be configured as a video generator board that supports VGA, PAL, or NTSC interfaces. |
Programming and softwareThe board is equipped with GXFPGA library, and the software package includes a virtual instrument panel, Windows 32/64 bit DLL, and documentation. The virtual panel provides interactive programming and control of the instrument through a window that displays its current settings and status. In addition, providing access to ATEasy, LabView,LabView/Real-Time,C/C++,Microsoft Visual Basic ®, Delphi, Interface files for programming tools and languages such as Pascal. The online help document and PDF user manual provide instructions and guidance on board installation, use, and programming. Application Fields
